I am a young sailor from Sydney Australia that is in the states racing for the summer. I will be boat captain for the Oakcliff Racing Melges 24’s at the World Championships, but am looking to sail. I’m Sailing with the Danish team Melges.dk as tactician and 1/3 part owner of the boat! We raced the Melges 24 for the last 4 years, where we have done all the Championships in Europe! I am a local San Francisco/Berkley sailor, I work as a sailing instructor at OCSC Sailing teaching keelboat classes and performances classes. I have experience racing a wide spectrum of boats, from Lasers, to big offshore sailboats such as SC 50s, farr 40, J 105s, etc. I also have a lot of experience racing and sailing smaller boats such as J24, Mini Transats, j80, and I have done some sailing on j70s.
I would love to be able to crew in this word championship, I don’t need any pay or any accommodations since I am local and I can provide a fair amount of local knowledge, I know this waters very well, and I am very used to sailing in this heavy wind, I sail at least 3 times per week in heavy conditions.Please let me know if you need any further information about myself or my sailing skills.
